What can I say about my photographs? When I take photographs, I sometimes immediately understand what I’m seeing; but I also sometimes feel things without understanding them, trusting my instinct, leaving the field open to the instantaneous. It’s unconscious. I try to write in a gentle way, even if the photos aren’t always ‘happy’. I try to get as close as possible to people by having this kind of narrative. It’s not thought out.
