Biography
Pavlos Kozalidis was born in 1961 in the port city of Piraeus in Attica.
From the late 1980s he began travelling extensively around the world and took approximately 750,000 photographs.
From 1989-2012 Pavlos travelled systematically to China in an attempt to experience the culture, people, daily life and what was left of the Cultural Revolution.
Besides China, he has photographed in nearly 80 countries, including in South and Central America, Africa, India and Greece. In one of his most ambitious and still not quite complete projects, he has followed the trail of Alexander the Great through the Eastern Mediterranean, Egypt, the Middle East and parts of Asia.
Throughout his 40 years of self taught photography Kozalidis has remained faithful to film and classical composition and the humanistic direction of documentary.
Since 2023 — member of the Noga Creative Union.
