It was the 14th year since the formation of the NCU. And we are pleased to present the 14th photographer of the creative union as a full member of our documentary community.
Dmitry Cherba is an artist by education, passionate about photography from an early age. He shoots his native town Uzlovaya and its inhabitants at the intersection of railroad tracks in the eastern part of the Tula region. Over time, the geography of his subjects is intensively expanding. And in addition to editorial assignments for the local press, his own projects and travels become known to a wide audience far beyond the borders of his favorite district.
Verigi
The first series on the NCU, chosen by Dmitry as his debut, is called Verigi. It is a five-day report on the Irinarkh procession, filmed in the twenty-first year of the twenty-first century, where pilgrims, as they did three hundred years ago, take turns putting on the vestments of the Monk and overcoming the path of St. Irinarkh.
