Sergey Trapezin has a special artistic outlook on documentary. Working on long-term projects, in addition to deep immersion in the chosen subject, Sergey strives for a holistic perception and at the same time, individual, artistic and aesthetic presentation of the material under study.
The Bosporus: Between the West and the East
Sergey’s first series of photographs on NCU Bosphorus: Between East and West is a compilation of annual trips to Turkey since 2008. The characteristic shooting with soft-drawing optics and black-and-white film presents the modern history of everyday life in the eastern country in an original non-tourist light. The more interesting it is for the viewer to penetrate beyond the advertising formats.
